لا تتركْ حبي لك يُدْعَى حبا أعمى،
لا تتركْ محبوبي يبدو وهما،
مادامت كل أغانيّ وكل قصائد مدحي
كتبت عن انسان واحد، وإلى نفس الانسان ستبقى أبداً منه إليه.

يفيض حبي اليوم بالحنان، وغداً يفيض بالحنان،
وسيبقى ثابتاً على الدوام في أكمل صورة،
لهذا تبقى قصائدي رهينة الوفاء،
معبرة عن شيء واحد، تاركة ما عداه.

"الجمال والحنان والصدق" هذا هو موضوعي بأكمله،
"الجمال والحنان والصدق" أنوِّع قولها في كلمات أخرى،
أبذل جهدي في التعبير المتنوع عن نفس الموضوع،
ثلاثة موضوعات في موضوع واحد تمنحني أفقاً واسعاً.

لقد عاش الجمال والحنان والصدق متفرقين دائماً
لم يجتمع الثلاثة في أحد أبداً حتى الآن.
